General Information

The products in the online store are sold by Mediatrade Oy (Business ID 0659327-3). We sell products to adults and companies in Finland. The prices of the products include VAT. We reserve the right to change delivery terms and prices.

Ordering

Orders through the online store are made via the internet at www.mediatrade.fi using the shopping cart. All order requests are confirmed by email, indicating the price and the ordered products. An order becomes binding for both parties once we have sent you the order confirmation. Receiving an order confirmation requires providing an email address when placing the order. We use the email address as the primary means of communication. By placing an order, the customer agrees to the delivery terms in force at the time.

Order Confirmation

We send order confirmations by email. The order confirmation serves as proof of acceptance of the order. Save the order confirmation so you can review your order details later. The confirmation is also needed when contacting our customer service about the order.

Payment Methods

Products are paid for when the order is placed. The online store accepts the following payment methods: Nordea, Osuuspankki, Danske Bank, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankit (POP), Savings Banks, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, S-Pankki, and Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Payments are processed via the Paytrail Oyj platform.

Payments with Visa, Visa Electron and Mastercard

If you wish to pay with Visa, Visa Electron, or Mastercard, Mediatrade Oy acts as the marketer of the products and services and delivers the products to the buyer. Paytrail Oyj acts as the payment intermediary for transactions made with Visa, Visa Electron, or Mastercard. Payment Service Provider

Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) provides the payment intermediation service and operates as the payment service provider in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj appears as the recipient of the payment on your account statement or card invoice and forwards the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj has a payment institution license.

Online Banking Payments

The payment intermediation service for online banking payments is carried out by Paytrail Oyj in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. From the user’s perspective, the service operates just like traditional online payments.

Delivery Time

Orders are processed on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM once payment has been made. The products we sell are specialized items intended for professional use, and their delivery times vary by product. Delivery times are indicated per product and may also be mentioned in the order confirmation.

Product Information

The product details, system requirements, availability, and any special terms of the products are described either in the product description or in the order confirmation. The products come with a warranty period established by the manufacturer. Mediatrade does not provide additional warranties or insurance beyond the warranty conditions specified by the product manufacturer.

Limitation of Liability

Mediatrade is not liable for any indirect damages related to the products or the order, such as loss of revenue, device or application malfunctions, or other commercial or financial losses resulting from delayed delivery, use, or inability to use the product. Mediatrade is not responsible for defects in the products if the customer has modified the product themselves. Mediatrade’s maximum liability for damages is limited to the purchase price of the product. These terms do not limit consumer rights under mandatory legislation.

Force Majeure

We reserve the right to delay delivery in the event of a force majeure affecting us, the product manufacturer, or another part of the supply chain. Force majeure includes strikes, boycotts, import/export restrictions, wars, epidemics, fires, floods, and other similar events beyond the control of the affected party.

Delivery Methods and Costs

When placing an order, you can choose the delivery method. Available methods and prices are listed in the online store. Orders exceeding €500 are delivered free of charge as an Economy package to the nearest Posti service point. For particularly large deliveries, different delivery costs/methods may apply, as stated in the product description or order confirmation.

You can pick up your order from our store during opening hours.

POSTI Economy
Orders are delivered to the nearest Posti service point or parcel locker for self-collection.

POSTI Express
Orders are delivered to your chosen address. The recipient is contacted to arrange a delivery time. In the Helsinki metropolitan area and Tampere, delivery is possible on weekdays until 9:00 PM.

Return and Exchange Policy

Consumers have a 14-day right of return or exchange under Finnish consumer protection law. This applies to unused, resalable products in their original packaging purchased via the online store. The customer is responsible for the costs of returning/exchanging the product. Returns/exchanges can be made directly at the store or delivered to our address. Returns are not collected from Posti service points.

Notify us of your return/exchange by email at sales@mediatrade.fi. Pack the return securely and include the following details:

Email address

Returns are not accepted after 14 days from delivery. Once approved, refunds are issued directly to your bank account after processing. The customer is responsible for the return delivery costs. Consumer protection law does not apply to products purchased by companies or for professional use.

Invalid Purchases

Mediatrade is not bound by an order if there is an obvious error (e.g., decimal error in pricing) in the order confirmation or price that the customer should have recognized. Orders are also not binding if payment or address information provided is incorrect, you are not authorized to use the payment method, or payment is not received within five (5) business days.

Other

Customers must familiarize themselves with the delivery terms in effect before placing an order. Mediatrade Oy processes all customer data confidentially and does not disclose it to third parties except as necessary to fulfill the order. These terms also apply, as appropriate, to orders placed through other sales channels.

When you use our website, it may place cookies on your computer. By using our site, you accept such cookies. Cookies may collect data such as your referring page, pages viewed, browser, screen resolution, operating system, and IP address.

If you have provided us with your contact information in connection with placing an order or making a purchase, we process your personal data to fulfill the ‘performance of a contract.’ In both of these cases, processing your data is essential to ensure the successful completion of the related activity.

If you have provided us with your contact information outside of the scenarios described above, we process your data based on your consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time by notifying us at: sales@mediatrade.fi. After receiving your withdrawal, we will no longer contact you regarding the relevant subject matter.

Disclosure and Transfer of Data

Customer data is not disclosed to external parties except as necessary for fulfilling offers or orders. Data may be disclosed to authorities if required or requested.

Data Retention Period

Business customer data is retained as long as relevant to the partnership. Private customer data is kept for warranty periods and up to five years for service continuity.

The retained data will be deleted according to the information stated above.

Your Rights

The customer/user has the right to review, correct, or delete their data. You can also request cessation of communication or data transfer in a compatible format. Complaints can be submitted to the Data Protection Ombudsman.

Changes

Mediatrade reserves the right to update this privacy statement periodically.
